It actually is a contribution received by your host for the community of the Sartenais Valinco districts.
It is entirely dedicated to tourist activities from which you directly benefit: management of the office of tourism, entertainment, etc...
The resort tax must be paid by everyone who pays for their visit (in a hotel, villa, furnished holiday rental apartment, campsite, family holiday camp, holiday apartment, country gite, B&B, youth hostel, marina or any other establishment providing accommodation). Rates: rates are set for each type and category of accommodation, per person and per night. They are set according to a schedule established by law and are passed by the Community of Municipalities.
Non categorised furnished apartments are automatically assimilated into the highest category pending their categorisation. Rates are determined as follows:
L, 4* tourist hotels, 4* holiday apartments, 3* non-categorised furnished holiday rental apartments and any establishment in the equivalent category: €0.80
3* tourist hotels, 3* holiday apartments, 3* furnished holiday rental apartments and any establishment in the equivalent category: €0.60
2* tourist hotels, 2* holiday apartments, 2* furnished holiday rental apartments, luxury holiday villages and any establishment in the equivalent category: €0.50
Tourist hotels, 1* and HT, 1* holiday apartments, 1* furnished holiday rental apartments, standard holiday villages and any establishment in the equivalent category, 3* campsites: €0.30
1* and 2* campsites, B&B rooms, marina: €0.20
